Trump Tweets Message for the Haters who have been “Wrong from the Beginning!”

On Sunday, President Trump arrived in Singapore for an unprecedented meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, following a year of tension between the two countries, and never-before-seen progress towards peace.

The summit, which will take place on Tuesday, will be the first time that a U.S. President and the leader of North Korea have met, and is slated to begin with a handshake between Trump and Kim, followed by a private meeting between the two, which will then be expanded to include other advisors.

Monday evening, the president took to Twitter, where he announced that meetings “are going well and quickly,” adding, “but in the end, that doesn’t matter. We will all know soon whether or not a real deal, unlike those of the past, can happen!”

Trump continued, lambasting his critics for their reaction to his meeting with Kim, and pointing out that after his success with negotiations thus far, those “who have called me wrong from the beginning” have “nothing else they can say!”

“We will be fine!” the president added, further hinting at the already-positive tone of the summit, which is gaining him international praise and acclaim.
