Restaurant Owner Who Kicked Out Sarah Sanders is Not Sorry and Would Do it Again

As reported by DailyCaller

The owner of the Virginia restaurant that kicked White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders out on Friday said that she’d do it again in an interview with the Washington Post on Saturday.

“I would have done the same thing again,” Stephanie Wilkerson, co-owner of the Red Hen, said. “We just felt there are moments in time when people need to live their convictions. This appeared to be one.”

Wilkerson added, “I have a business, and I want the business to thrive. This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.”

Wilkerson asked Sanders to leave Red Hen, a local restaurant in Lexington, Virginia.

“I explained that the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation. I said, ‘I’d like to ask you to leave,’” she continued.

Other Trump Administration officials have faced similar backlash when in public. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was confronted by protesters while eating at a D.C. restaurant last week. Protesters surrounded her table chanting insults until she finally left.
