Recently, President Trump kept a promise to one of America’s allies in the Middle East, Israel, and formally recognized Jerusalem as its capital city.
Although several other presidents intended to do so, they ultimately decided it was too politically controversial.
Despite the backlash from the U.N. and other anti-Israel groups, President Trump’s decision was the right one to make, and other countries are now following suit.
During an interview with Fox News, Vice President Mike Pence praised the president for having “the courage of his convictions to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” and said that it would be his “great honor, as Vice President, to visit and affirm that decision.”
