Since President Trump’s election, Japan’s Prime Minister has been one of his closest friends, being one of the first people to visit with the new American leader.
Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, has become great personal friends with President Trump, and the two seem to genuinely enjoy each other’s company.
During Trump’s recent visit to Japan, he and Abe played golf together, enjoyed Japanese steak, and signed hats for fans, and their wives had a great time, as well.
First Lady Melania Trump and First Lady Akie Abe went on an excursion in Japan, shopping for jewelry and taking a break for a cup of tea.
The next day, the pair of First Ladies paid a visit to the Kyobashi Tsukiji school, meeting with around 300 4th grade students, and Melania got a lesson in Japanese calligraphy.
During the lesson, the two ladies wrote the character for “peace” in Japanese, a perfect symbol for the growing relationship between our two countries.
