Moments ago on MSNBC’s Live with Alex Witt, Katrina Pierson discussed rumors surrounding the White House departures of former Trump aides Hope Hicks and Omarosa.
I think it’s not really fair for people to wonder and assume and project on what was going through Hope Hicks’ mind. This is someone who I know and love dearly she’s been with the President and she was definitely a trusted asset to this President, to the campaign that was re-writing the political playbook and still is as we speak. But you know, she’s young and she’s courageous and she’s bold and she has other aspirations. She’s one of the few people I’ve known in my life that doesn’t define herself by her job description and when she says she wants to explore other opportunities, I take that at face value.
Later in the segment, Pierson discussed a Washington Post smear piece against President Trump and Jared Kushner that relies on anonymous sources and claims White House morale is at a low.
You have a President and you have someone like Jared Kushner who came into Washington DC which is seriously upsetting the establishment, many of those who are still inside the administration. They are tasked with modernizing and innovating the federal government which puts a lot of career bureaucrats on edge so it wouldn’t surprise me that several of them would get together to put out an article like this because were talking about job security for them. They are afraid that this President, along with Jared Kushner have found the plug to drain the swamp, that’s exactly why I don’t give credence to stories like this.
