As Iranian People Protest Their Brutal Regime, Trump Sends Powerful Message of Support

For the third consecutive day, anti-government protests have continued in Iran, fueled by economic woes and an oppressive leadership.

Protestesters risked imprisonment and even death, facing off against riot police and pro-government civilians, and riots have broken out in several cities throughout the country.

President Trump has voiced his support for the protesting citizens, who he said were “fed up with the regime’s corruption,” and angered by the “squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad.”

The president also said that the Iranian government should “respect their people’s rights, including the right to express themselves,” and added, “The world is watching!”

In a series of tweets, President Trump sent his encouragement and support to the Iranian people, telling them that “The entire world understands that the good people of Iran want change.”

Taking a direct shot at the frazzled Iranian leadership, Trump told Iranians that their corrupt leaders fear them, along with America’s powerful military, more than anything.

“Oppressive regimes cannot endure forever,” said Trump, who, speaking directly to the Iranians who are fighting for freedom against tyrannical leadership, candidly told them that “the day will come when the Iranian people will face a choice,” and added, “The world is watching!

As President Trump said, the world is watching, and after Americans demanded more from their government, others are following suit, and as the Iranian people protest against the corrupt and brutal regime that has oppressed them for decades.
