When First Lady Melania Trump donated books by popular children’s author “Dr. Seuss” to several schools for National Read A Book Day, she probably didn’t expect one liberal librarian to use her donation to attack her.
Sadly, that’s exactly what Liz Phipps Soiero, a librarian in Massachusetts, did when she received Melania’s gift, and used the generous act to push a hateful and divisive leftist agenda.
Soiero penned a response to the First Lady, in which she sharply criticized the decision to use Dr. Seuss literature, which she equated with “blackface minstrelsy,” and denounced for “racist propaganda, caricatures and harmful stereotypes.”
“You may not be aware of this, but Dr. Seuss is a bit of a cliche, a tired and worn ambassador for children’s literature,” said Soiero, in her rude letter to Melania, in which she flatly rejected the donation of the books.
“Another fact that many people are unaware of is that Dr Seuss’ illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes,” added Soiero.
Interestingly enough, however, it seems Soiero had no problems with Dr. Seuss a few years ago, when she dressed as his iconic “Cat in the Hat” character in 2015, and was photographed several times while wearing her Seuss-inspired costume.
By the way, this is the now infamous librarian dressed as Cat in the Hat. Oh my, this is some inapropriate stuff. pic.twitter.com/wzcsoPHGb8

Additionally, Soiero also had no problems when former First Lady Michelle Obama read Dr. Seuss books to children, as she did often.
In truth, Liz Soiero appears to have been triggered by the name “Trump,” not “Seuss,” and her emotionally-driven response was due to her own hatred for our president, not because of alleged “racism” from a children’s author.
