Texans in Sutherland Springs Hold Touching Service as They Begin to Heal

One week ago, a deranged killer went on a horrific rampage, murdering 26 innocent people who were gathered in a small church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

Sadly, headlines like these have become more and more common over the past decade or so, and sometimes it seems like murders and terrorist attacks happen on a daily basis.

However, the folks in Sutherland Springs are determined to prove that Americans never give up, and will bounce back through anything.

Today, the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs held its first service since the shooting, with lead by Pastor Frank Pomeroy, who suffered an unimaginable loss during the tragedy.

“I know everyone who gave their life that day,” said Pastor Pomeroy, taking some time before continuing, “some of whom where my best friends and my daughter.”

As Pastor Frank remembered his daughter, Annabelle, who was 14, he couldn’t hold back his tears, and added, “I guarantee they are dancing with Jesus today.”

Though there’s really no way to understand how hard that must have been, Pastor Frank Pomeroy and the rest of the people gathered there sent a message to the forces of evil that Americans refuse to be broken.
