While the radical leftist wing of NFL players continue to think they are being “oppressed” for being asked to stand for our country and military heroes during the national anthem, a group of Kansas students are letting their patriotism shine.
William Cookson, a member of the Kansas Army National guard was sent overseas before having time to finish painting his house.
Local students from the USA program at Salina Technical College volunteered to step right up and help him finish the job.
“We got young men and women out there giving up their freedom, their time to take care of our rights to take the morning off class and paint their houses,” said Austin Workman “This is our way of giving back.”
It is inspiring that these bright students understand this basic principle, while so many smug professional athletes remain clueless.
