Earlier today, frequent Trump critic AZ Senator Jeff Flake announced his retirement from office, claiming that he would not seek re-election, and slammed President Trump and his supporters.
The wildly unpopular Flake had been polling poorly in Arizona, so his decision not to seek re-election could be due to his desire to avoid a publicly humiliating loss.
MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted a short video clip of Flake saying “Mr. President, I rise today to say ‘enough.'”
When Congressman Ted Lieu, a Democrat from California, saw the video, he congratulated Flake and welcomed him to “the resistance.”

Ted Lieu is notorious for pulling other Trump resistance stunts for other attention, including his website encouraging White House staff to leak to the press.
Now more than ever we need whistleblowers to come forward. I created an official website on how to leak to the press https://t.co/IjTar3hv6U
