Recently, an excerpt from James Comey’s upcoming book was leaked to the press, detailing a private meeting between the disgraced Former FBI Director and then-President Barack Obama.
In it, Comey describes meeting with Obama after President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, and how he felt “On the verge of tears.”
Comey claims that Obama consoled him, telling him that his handling of the Clinton email investigation had no effect on the outcome of the election.
“Boy, those were the words I needed to hear,” Comey replied “on the verge of tears,” according to his book.
It’s the “On the verge of tears” that makes this. pic.twitter.com/Q23sWahaK6

Needless to say, Trump supporters jumped on Comey’s comments immediately, mocking the former FBI Director and questioning whether he admitted to perjury, having previously testified under oath that he hadn’t met with Obama one-on-one.
Didn’t @Comey testify under oath before Congress that he never met with Obama alone? Maybe he should have gone back over his testimony transcript before admitting to perjury in his new book? https://t.co/iuVNi0t6K6

Seems @Comey is always on the verge of tears lol

Is this intended to draw tears from the reader? My God how lame! Is this really an excerpt from the book? Can’t believe it.

Comey thinks he’s Elliot Ness. I’d say he’s more of an Elliot MESS. There’s nothing remotely admirable nor honest about him. Disgusting swamp creature.

What the #ComeyBook proves is that the #fbi was heavily politicised and #Comey has not been a bipartisan upholder of the law. No wonder #Hillary got let off for blatant criminality. #Hammertime#Bleachbot #IllegalServer#ComeyDay

Yeah this is what jumped out at me also. My guess would be that he was on the verge of tears because he knew the house of cards was about to come crumbling down.
