Just 2 weeks before the special election in Alabama, a third poll in a row by JMC Analytics has Roy Moore ahead of Democrat Doug Jones.
JMC has Moore garnering 49% support compared to Jones’ 44%, a 5% gap which is outside the poll’s margin of error.
After Jones briefly led in the RealClearPolitics polling averages in mid November, Roy Moore clearly now has momentum.
A new poll conducted by JMC Analytics has Alabama senate candidate Roy Moore ahead of his democratic opponent Doug Jones by five percentage points (48-43), per Alabama Local. Earlier this month, JMC had Jones leading Moore by 4 points.
Why it matters: Other polls released this week tell a similar story — that Moore is regaining ground after the outrage from the allegations of sexual harassment has cooled down. Based on these findings, JMC concluded that the “sexual misconduct allegations against Moore have not materially impacted the race.”
